Important information
Please note that if the loan amount will be classified as a Regulated Loan. This means that a consideration period will apply by law and the documents sent on 'Day 1' will be consideration documents and these cannot be signed; they are simply copy documents for the borrower to consider.
The documents for signature cannot be dispatched until the eighth day. The borrower has another 17 days to consider the terms of the agreement but can return the documents within this 17 day period. The Lender cannot follow up the documents or contact the borrower during this period unless the borrower contacts the Lender for further information. There will be a follow up with the borrower after the full consideration period has passed.
If the loan amount is above the regulated threshold it is classed as an Un-Regulated Loan and there is no consideration period. This means that documents for signature are sent out on 'Day 1' and followed up immediately and often complete more quickly due to the fact that there is no consideration period.
